I ate here with coworkers. The food was phenomenal. The pizza is really good and so is everything else. Parking is limited to streets or nearby parking decks. Highly recommend!

This was a great restaurant. It was full, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was excellent and the food was delicious and unique with great portion sizes. I was able to get an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert for our table for 50 before tip and the flavor and amount of food for each was definitely superior to the 50 I spent the week before at Ruby Tuesday for just 2 entrees with half the food and flavor. I would definitely come back!!

Fortunato serves upscale Italian food in a pared down but trendy atmosphere. Yes, the semi/rustic style means diners either need to sit close together or shout to be heard. I was one of a weekday evening of a party of three all of whom love to try new food. Starting with the formaggi (cheese platter) to cannoli and semifreddo dessert, we were not disappointed. Each of us ordered a main dish. The vegetarian chose homemade pasta with a creamy cheese sauce; the meat eater, pork Milanese; and I, the roasted whole Branzino. I elelcted to try this fish for comparison with similar dishes in a favorite Oriental restaurant. Fortunato’s Branzino preparation won hands down for me. The flesh was perfectly prepared - moist, tender, and almost falling off the bones. The side complimented the fish perfectly. I finished my cannoli accompanied by an espresso and a smile on my face.

First time coming here, and really enjoyed it! The whole family loved it as well. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff were all very nice and friendly. We started out with a cheese plate with this wonderful shallot jam that really complemented the different cheese’s. It was so good I had to look up how to make my own haha. The Roast brussels sprouts with cheese the kids devoured! The clams were beautifully plated and the sauce was great with the charred house bread. All the entrees were just as good as the next. The Pork Milanese was breaded, and fried to perfection. The Duck Ragu was heaven with the porcini and cremini mushroom sauce. My mother got the whole roasted Branzino which was very moist, flaky, and seasoned great. We also shared two pizzas, the margarita pizza, and anchovy pizza. Both equally good! Love the capers on the anchovy pizza! Would highly recommend this place!

*4.5 stars- Service was excellent. We had Gwen and she was wonderful. Huge wine list with speciality cocktails as well. Food was pretty good, would enjoy more protein options. Restaurant was loud, acoustics weren’t the best for so many people in a small space. Making it hard for our table to converse.

What a great culinary experience! We had the lamb meatballs, house bread, and the fennel pizza. Amazing flavors. We had no reservation, but sat at the bar, which turned out to be perfect. The bartender was so nice. I’m not much of a drinker, so she made a mocktail drink for me based on a few flavors I told her I enjoyed. Then, we had the “Salami” dessert, wherein the chef mixes and chills chocolate, pistachios, candied orange pieces, and almond, and when you slice it they look like salami slices. It’s paired with an olive oil shortbread that was so soft and crumbly. It was one of the most creative and tasty desserts I’ve ever had.

If you’re in the downtown area, Fortunato is the correct choice for dinner (Tues-Sat). It’s dimly lit and moody inside - typically packed with people (reservations are a good idea, we’ve been turned away before). We ordered a bottle of wine and the frito misto (fried calamari and friends) to start, then we put in for Spaghetti al Limone , Bucatini dish, and the Lamb meatballs. All STUNNING! Instead of dessert we opted for another bottle of wine (Look for Lundeen/ Pinot Noir/ Oregon... easy drinker, light bodied, delicious paired with everything we had - especially the lamb meatballs!) and one of their pizzas. Service was great, food came out fast. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

Have visited more than several times. Service is exceptional, personable and professional. Everyone I’ve spoke with seems familiar and confident in their menu, also happy to offer info and suggestions for food & drinks. Great wine list, and good selection of cocktails and spirits. Food is delicious and well prepared. Especially fond of the pasta dishes, they knock it outta the park. Best pasta in town. Will continue to visit, yet to be disappointed. Keep up the good work. Would love to see them pack the bar full and potentially offer a slightly later evening service or cocktail menu. Music & atmosphere have great potential! **** don’t skip desert.
